Going to the Territory – Ralph Ellison

Going to the Territory. By Ralph Ellison. New York: Random House, 1986. First edition, original dust jacket, unclipped, fading/discoloration to edges, chipped and torn at head. (Between 1970 and 2002, Random House began their number lines with a 2 on their first editions instead of a 1.)

This is a generous selection from two decades of Ellison’s essays, lectures, personal reminiscences, and interviews. The title of this work is also the title of an address the author delivered at the Ralph Ellison Festival, a celebration of his accomplishments, held at Brown University in September 1979.
