Gindi (1923 – 2007), the inscription in the pink volume reads, “Dec. 18, 1979 / This 12-volume complete set – all 1st Editions – of Lang’s Fairy Books are presented to my darling wife Rae, with all my love. / Jack E. Gindi, Hanuka – 5740”. Jack E. Gindi was a lawyer, real estate developer, philanthropist, and avid book collector.
