First edition, first impression.  This novel by Ayn Rand was published in 1957 by Random house.  As stated on the copyright page, “First Printing.” The boards are green cloth with Ayn Rand’s initials in gold on the front.  The spine has lettering in gold and black.  Pages are top stained in dark blue or black.  Original dust jacket has no reviews on it.  1168 pages. The original dust jacket on the present copy has been expertly, and extensively, restored, and is very presentable.
